We like hummus (heavy on the garlic and lemon). But it’s hard to find tahini here.
There are people who use peanut butter instead.
I’ve tried it.
Peanut butter is not tahini.
Let’s move on.
Since tahini isn't easily available, you'd think I'd have a ton of ideas in the works just waiting until I get my hands on some.
You'd think wrong.
It’s hummus. Always hummus.
And often a ¼ jar of tahini going rancid in the fridge.
You can only eat so much hummus.
Since I Heart Cooking Clubs is cooking the recipes of Yotam Ottolenghi, whose roots are in the Middle East, you can bet I snapped up a bunch of tahini ideas.
Like Honey Roasted Carrots w/ Tahini Yogurt.
Ready for the kicker?
The Tahini Yogurt tastes a lot like…garlicky, lemony hummus.
The carrots were ok. Not bad, but not mind-blowing either.
Honestly, I think I'd just eat carrot sticks with hummus!
The recipe can be found HERE.
