The food this week is tall and cold.
It's no Plain Jane frosty.
That's a Chocolate Mint Frosty.
Definitely right for a no sweat summer. Easy to make and will cool you off something good. It's from an old issue of Kraft Food & Family. I think it needs more mint patties, so I've changed that. I've thought about trying something other than chocolate mint patties...PB cups, fun size snickers, so many possibilities. But so far it's just been thoughts.
Mise en place: so easy a caveman could do it...well not really b/c cavemen didn't have blenders or electricity. Poor them.
You'll need ice, milk, chocolate pudding mix, cool whip, chocolate mint patties.
Everything gets whirred up in the blender and that's that.
One note: this seems to work better if you break up the mint patties first.

I halve the recipe for the three of us. The full amount is too much, plus this gives us the chance to do it all over again tomorrow.

This is such a fun recipe! I never thought about using a pudding mix and now my mind is actually reeling with possibilities. It's like you mentioned pb cubs, snickers, other candies and THEN there is also different flavors of pudding. This is what I like to call a WIDE OPEN recipe!! It can be anything you want it to be:)
ReplyDeleteI think you have a good plan drinking these daily. As hot as it is here, I know it has to be even hotter there.
Chocolate + Mint are my kids favorite!! This is a great recipe for them to try at our house - thank you for sharing and linking up this month :)
