What's the Haps Wednesday {Because I'm Happy...}

Last week, the U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research released the happiest and unhappiest cities in the United States.

The top 5 cities are all in one state: Louisiana!

Considering our economy, education system, environmental issues like oil spills, hurricanes and flooding, poverty, and that we are sinking into the Gulf, it might be hard to believe that we have much of anything to be happy about.

(I take these studies with a grain of salt anyway)

But apparently good food, music, strong family ties, love of friends and "passin' a good time," and our laissez les bons temps rouler, joie de vivre approach to life can overcome all of the problems we face.

I mean, how can you not be happy listening to this:

Today.com followed this Happiest & Unhappiest City study with "Why people in Louisiana are so happy (and how you can be too)."  It's an interesting read and confirms what I suspected.

My favorite quote from the article:
"Nobody makes a gumbo for one."
