Ready for some gumbo?
*~*~*
My great grandpa said See ya in the gumbo!
instead of "good-bye."
It means see ya out there in the mix.
Gumbo is a mix of various ingredients.
And no two people make it the same way.
To "make a gumbo" means much more than cooking. When someone says "I'm making a gumbo," it means family and friends are invited.
I invite you to join this POTLUCK PARTY every Sunday night.
Bring whatever mix of ingredients you'd like.

ReplyDeleteMy Gabe doesn't eat sweets and I have a gigantic sweet tooth, Whenever I make cookies he would have just one. Well, that didn't happen with the yogurt bars. He loved them! I finally found a dessert he likes!!!!! Hope your guys like them also.

ReplyDeleteHi Michelle! Thanks for featuring my ice pops. We had a nice sunny weekend - they were great! This week I brought another summer staple: my homemade BBQ sauce.
ReplyDeleteMichelle, thank you for the featuring - woohoo! Been under the weather since Sunday and woke up feeling better thismorning so now I feel better & happy!! I loved your photos and the gumbo actually looks quite good. I was on a tour boat trip in Louisianna a long time ago and they served gumbo that had everything they could find in their frig and freezer in it. Wasn't sure I would ever try it again but your recipe sounds really good. And I love that you choose not to mix just any old thing!!
ReplyDeleteThe Honey Balsamic Carrots honestly grabbed my attention. Congrats to all the great picks & all the yummy entries. Have a great week Michelle. x
