See ya in the gumbo!
My great grandpa said this instead of "good-bye." It means see ya out there in the mix.
Gumbo is a mix of various ingredients. And no two people make it the same way.
To "make a gumbo" means much more than cooking. When someone says "I'm making a gumbo," it means family and friends are invited.
I invite you to join this POTLUCK PARTY every Sunday night.
Bring whatever mix of ingredients you'd like.

Last week's features:
Savory Slow Cooker Swiss Steak
from Milwaukee Kitchen
This was the most-viewed link last week. Two weeks in a row for Sara! If you haven't yet, you should check out Milwaukee Kitchen.
Turtle Cheesecake Muffins
from Soup Spice Everything Nice
Turtle cheesecake sounds great, but Denise also has ideas that involve Snickers and Mardi Gras.
Avoid Holiday Weight Gain
from Gluten Free A-Z Blog
This guest post, shared by Judee, was also very popular last week. These tips are good to keep in mind year-round.
And my pick of the week:
Red Pork Curry
from Kitchen Flavors
Joyce doubled the spices--I'm all about that.
The end result is tender braised pork in a rich gravy. I'm all about that too.
