From back East.
I only recently discovered this cocktail, but I'm already hooked.
Not need a meeting hooked. I just think that the cranberry-lime combination is perfect for hot weather.
My dad recently threw a retirement party for my mom. A crawfish boil.
Now, crawfish boils go hand in hand with cold beer. But I mixed up some drinks and many of the female hands had Cape Codders in them.
Cape Codders are good for just sippin' out in the grass too.
Behind the (blogging) scenes: this is how I really do it!
Print It!
Cape Codder
(my way)
4 oz cranberry juice
2 oz vodka
2 tsp lime juice (I probably use more--I like it limey)
ice
lime slice
Add the cranberry juice, vodka, and lime juice to a glass and stir. Drop in a few ice cubes, garnish with lime and drink up.
More drinks...
The combination of cranberry and lime (or lemon) sounds perfect for summer.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the vodka though.... :)
I'd like to try but I don't know.... I'm like a baby when it comes to alcohol LOL
Winnie-when I was buying the cranberry juice, I noticed a cranberry-lime blend. No vodka in there, but just as good for sipping on a hot day.
ReplyDeleteCranberry juice and Vodka is one of my favorites. Never thought to add lime. Definitely going to try this, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove the combination! Will have to try it this summer. Thanks Michelle,
ReplyDeleteOh Michelle...I love that pig glass:) I can always count on you to put a smile on my face! This is my kind of drink for sure.

Shari- I love the lime and like to add more than my fair share.
ReplyDeleteLinda- I hope you like it!
Kim- I have a Scooby Doo jelly glass I'm fond of too. My husband seems to always steal the "piggy glass."
Hi Michelle~ If you want to add extra lime to your drink, try adding some Lime Vodka:) I love a nice, ice cold Lime Vodka drink in the summer, but then, I'm a sucker for a Tanqueray Sour with a twist of lime anyday!!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds nice, Michelle!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I don't have the patience for making complicated drinks, but this looks simple enough to make even when buzzed. Thanks for sharing!
