See Ya in the Gumbo # 74 (potluck)
See ya in the gumbo!
My great grandpa said this instead of "good-bye." It means see ya out there in the mix.
Gumbo is a mix of various ingredients. And no two people make it the same way.
To "make a gumbo" means much more than cooking. When someone says "I'm making a gumbo," it means family and friends are invited.
I invite you to join this POTLUCK PARTY every Sunday night.
Bring whatever mix of ingredients you'd like.

Terry's Chicken Mole was a big hit last week. The entire plate looks good!
Homemade Shamrock Shake
from Plucky's Second Thought
Jess's homemade shake is just in time for St. Patty's.
S's Breakfast Bowl
from A Kitchen Hoor's Adventure
With mushrooms and potatoes, I know I'd like this for breakfast. I also like that it could be made with whatever you have on hand.
Creamy Spinach & Chicken Mezze Penne
from Kreative Creationz
If yall wouldn't have picked this dish, I would have. Kendra's chicken dish looks like my kind of food.
My picks of the week:
Best Tomato Pasta Sauce Ever
from Couscous & Consciousness
Sue has me wanting it to be tomato season right now!
Double Death By Chocolate and Peanut Butter Ice Cream
from Jo and Sue
Jo & Sue are at it again. This isn't one of their famous single-serving dishes. But then why would we want it to be?
